Keyes does not know this ye, but he has volunteered to help with teh down time rules.  My proposal goes like this:

THe outgoing DM and the incoming DM meet and determine length of downtime between adventures (game time).  With this in mind, characters are free to engage in downtime activities per the complete campaign guide.  Since dice rolls are involved, I'd recommend that we create a spread sheet (hint hint, I'll make it cause I'm a nerd like that), that allows to do this easily.  At the start of the next adventure, the group does their downtime rolls, and then the new DM presents the hook for the next adventure.

Thoughts?

Idk, I havnt looked at the downtime rules.

On that note, however, I believe there are rules in the downtime that grant exp. Since we are trying to keep everyone on the same playing field, are we allowed to gain extra exp through downtime?

I was reading through the rules as well.  I think that stuff that grants extra XP s/b out. (IMO).

I glanced back through them.  You can also spend time researching, and so forth.  Honestly, I figured that downtime would be a time to earn money for consumables, or craft, or make buildings/organizations.

I also was was under the impressions that if your character was not in a pug campaign, you would be able to use the downtime system for in game time you were not involved in. I.e. im opting out if this adventure to spend time building a tavern etc.

I don't think we'd ever nailed it down.  The idea that we did go with is that you get XP/loot equal to the group...regardless of if you were with the party or not.

But between adventures, we need to nail things down a little bit more I think.
