I made this tread for everyone to discuss magical items that they want to make that are not in the book, and prices for such.

I will start with "Bracers of the Lady"

Aura: Faint Evocation (CL 5)

Slot: Wrists; Price: 9000; Weight 2 lbs

These black leather bracers each bear three identical Sun Crosses on them.  They qualify as a holy symbol when presented by a devotee of Zumzalla.  When worn by a devotee of Zumzalla, they can invoke the power of the light twice per day, per the Daylight spell cast on the bracers.

Construction requirements:

4500 gp; Daylight, Consecrate.

Craft Wonderous Items, Craft Magical Arms and Armor, Craft Reliquary Arms, Crafter must be a worshiper of Zumzalla.

Cost Estimates:
Command word Daylight Spell (CL5, Spell Level 3): 27000 gp
2 uses/day: reduce price by 60% to 10800 gp
Works as a holy symbol (add 250gp) to 11050 gp

Only functions for a worshiper of Zumzalla (I figured a 20% knockdown to 8840gp)

Round up to 9000gp.

Thoughts?

I think its good, but I caution against using the worshiper of Zumzalla cost reduction. That can get really messy when people start optimizing for cost of items (cause there is many different reductions written into the rules).

While I don't have a problem with it this time, I think it would be good to avoid reductions.

Opal and I had a long talk about this.  For example, if the restriction was "usable only by a paladin" and then you added "usable only by a worshiper of zumzalla", then the second restriction is really just a reinforcement of the first.  But in this case, this restriction is meaningful.  Sans UMD, there are 2 party members that can use this item.

Anyway, thank you for your input :)
