So, being the first to have his character deaded I am the first to reroll.

I just want to verify things with the group as the regen rules seem out of date (written for lvl 3).

So I start at lvl 4. Do I still incure the 2 level penalty? It appears that way as per written, but Mike seemed to think I did not due to my characters death and not other reroll terms.

My starting GP is determined by my class + a gold ammount. On the site it's 10,088. Is this correct?

My new character will be participating in the next session so I'd like to get started on my reroll. Any help would be great.

btw, I have spoken with the DM and have a fairly good idea on how my new character will be introduced.

I am looking at a few character concepts, among them: Ranger, Monk, and Paladin.

*  I think you start at level 4 with 2 negatives levels.  One negative level will disappear after the first play sesson. The second negative level will disappear at the end of Brian's session.  (or is it the session after Brian's?)

* Not sure about gold; I was going to ask this same question myself.  How much gold should each PC have acquired?

I would not think that you should start with the level penalty, as your death was not intentional and not an attempt to just get a new character.

As for rules on loot, I am unsure what the rules are, but they should stay the same as if you rerolled.

You would start at level 4 with the rest of the party, and have 2 negative levels. at the end of the next session (your character's first) you remove one negative level. when brian's adventure ends, you lose the other negative level. I dont know where the 10088 G comes from, thats a big number for a 4th level character. its what the group has made since the begining?

that is my understanding.

@ Opal: It would be at the end of the adventuer where where he rerolled into. Therefore, the end of Keyes' adventure. But, since this is not someone getting bored of their character (which is why we put the level penalty into place, to dissuade that behavior), I do not believe he should have to suffer the level penalty (even though it wont be for long).

@ Dylan: I did not keep track of the money gained after the first adventure, but Elle's wealth gained:

1st adventure: ???

2nd adventure: 3194gp

3rd adventure: 6510gp

roughly 9-10k gp

All,  the wealth number was tracked by me.  That was how much material wealth we had gained prior to the start of this current adventure.

Per the reroll rules: Level 4 (I can provide exact XP when I get home), with 2 negative levels.  One gets whiped at the end of session, the other at the end of adventure.  These two things might happen simultaneously.
