I find the PF rules for the cost of boats & ships wholey unacceptable.

for example:  A 50' river boat with a sail (keelboat) costs 3k more than a galleon????

C'mon Man!!!

I propose cost change.

For cost alone, I think that stormwrack (3.5) has a far better rule set.  I think we should move to those rules.

Thoughts?

Galley: 20' x 130': 10,000.  18,000 with the extra gun deck.

Keelboat: 20x50: 13,000

The PRD is the authoritative reference.  I'm not sure where the SDR draws its information from.  None of it is cited or referenced.

Also,  a keelboat for 13k is silly.  Still think this aught to go by the 3.5 costs.
