The purpose of this thread is to track downtime between Adventure 1 and 2.  Your summary can be a simple as "Worked to make a home", or as complex as a conversation.

Elle decides to not leave Goldbar for the time being. Feeling the tight-knit grouping of the community, she decides to find herself a more permanent place to call her base of operations. She uses the rewards from her 'adventure' to procure/build a very small home to calll her own.

She spends time with the locals, doing much playing at inns. After a couple of days, she gains the attention of ???, the owner of ???. He/she really liked Elle's performance the other day, and asked her to play occasionally at her inn. Elle graciously accepted, and plays there frequently. Using money and reputation built there, she has made a living in Goldbar for the past 28 days.

She longs for more though. She is used to being a wanderer, and the deaths of her family are still a mystery to her. Her questions in Goldbar have turned up nothing. She may need to expand her horizons to larger, more well versed venues.

Posted. TL;DR - Elle will be in Goldbar the whole of 30 days, getting to know the locals and making a living for herself through her Violin. She socialized a lot, and shares most of her backstory with anyone who asks (she leaves out any details about her family's demise with anyone except party members. Even then, she is brief).

Adeon Strikes up a converation with Braun:

Adeon hands the larger man a tankard of ale as they take in the busy seen of the Hall of Heroes’ common room for the evening.

“You were impressive back there…at the alchemist’s abode. I was honored to have your back. Where did you learn to fight like that?”

Braun takes a large swig of ale.

"Ahh, glad to hear someone noticed. I've always been a fighter. Got into many a scuffle...my mom wasn't too fond of that. One thing led to another and I found myself with an opportunity to be trained by the Hold of Khal and become one of their guards...it was actually on my second day there I was given the nickname of Braun. Stuck with me every since....I guess you could say I get that from my tendency for...what my commander says 'Is a reckless style'..... What about you? Where were you trained?"

The paladin sips his own ale.

"I was trained in Pembria, and a few other places. My mentor was Sir Morgan Hassek, a paladin of Kura. He found me on the streets of Orlean. I think he saw something in me that I'm still trying to understand."

He pauses for a moment.

"When was the last time you saw your parents?" (This question seems wistful...home sick).

Braun seems to acknowledge the sense of homesickness, but decides against pandering to his audience and instead goes for an honest approach.

"I saw my parents just a few days ago. You know, Khal is not that far from here. I spoke with both of my parents prior to leaving...I felt they deserved that. The idea of never maybe never seeing your child again is a painful one...I suppose that goes for the child towards the parents too"

His speech trails off into a more somber mood

He takes a few more large swigs of ale. With a hint of peppiness and positivity he says:

"Ya know, its interesting you brought up Kura....my mom is actually the only cleric of Khal....I wonder if she knows Sir Morgan. I suppose when I return I will have to ask."

"So earlier you mentioned that you are not a Paladin of Kura....seems like you would naturally adopt the deity of your trainer...why the switch?"

At the question, the paladin motions to the barmaid. He orders two whiskeys, and downs his almost the moment it hits the table.

"Most of my life was lived in the Orlean slums. I saw those with power use violence to prey on the weak. I might have been one those had Sir Morgan not stepped in. Healing and the serenity of Kura are both admirable. I simply felt called to help the distressed communities of Svalgard. The Lady of the Light was a more natural fit."

Sipping his ale again, the paladin looks the larger man in the eyes.

"So why no clerical or templar vows for you? You seem to have a good heart, and you clearly respect the Blue Lady."

Braun downs the other shot of Whiskey.

"I'm not a big fan of...rules. There seems so much that has to be done, and in a certain fashion to do things the 'right way'...sometimes there just isnt time and a swift punch to the jaw is needed."

He lowers his head a little bit and shakes it....

"I guess I have a problem evaluating situations in an instant. I tend to...engage...and then ask questions....it's not really what a paladin or cleric would do...ya know? There are few things I care about fighting for....most of the time I just fight because it's an available option...You can see how that would be generally frowned upon."

"Being brought up in a religious household didn't really help matters....I only follow Kura because its all I've really known. I guess thats a secondary reason i'm out here...to find myself. To find my place."

Braun orders another two whiskeys.

As the whiskey arrives, the paladin raises his to toast.

"To new endeavors, and new friends."

Braun raises his as well.

"To friendship."
