Alright guys, now that it is important to my character, I have seriously started looking at downtime (I know im bad, stfu)

Looking at piece-meal building a small home for my character. I intend to outright buy the capital (goods and labor) for the 1st room, and then earn the rest for the next. My main question is this: do I have to have all required capital for building the next room before I start construction, or by the time construction ends? The rules are not specific as to when/where etc.

I figured I would have a small amount (1 goods, 1 labor) and then have my peons (stfu) begin to build. As they construct, I work dilligently to build my stockpile of capital to, by the time they finish construction, I would have more than enough capital to have funded said endevor.

Thoughts?

Question 1:  You can build piecemeal.

7th paragraph --

"You don't need to construct all of a building's rooms at once. The price of constructing a two-room building is the same whether you build them together or complete the first one and add the second one later."

You do have to have the capitol to start construction before.

Now for my question:  How do I determine upkeep costs?  I can't seem to find a table for that.

Do we have to just pay the wages of the managers?  What about the workers?  Is there any upkeep cost on the buildings themselves?

Proposal:  Unless someone says otherwise, I think that the system implies that you pay the manager, and that the workers are paid from the profits of the building.

If I had to guess, you are correct. However, a manager is not a requirement. I would assume that any workers are paid out of the income of your building, which is already taken out in the values listed... maybe?

Yeah...see "teams" dont have any income listed.

But also in the upkeep section, they mention abandoning unmaintained buildings?  can Keyes chime in when he gets a chance?

OK...so it looks like the Druid class gets shafted in down time.  I think that to make a druid's grove, we will need to addapt some of the rooms (Think garden, habitat, alter, etc.)
